, now that a grand jury
has reportedly been convened to indict the former president and/or those close to him, Donald Trump
may face prison
time for the first time.
“Can you imagine Donald Trump on trial
, putting that little orange hand on a Bible, and then the Bible bursts into flames, and he flees in the chaos like a Batman villain?” Kimmel wondered.
Kimmel also pointed out that Trump's most recent statements aren't getting much attention.
“He’s like the Instant Pot of presidents,” Kimmel said, adding, “he still has some diehards, but most people
have pushed him to the back of the pantry and moved on with their lives.”
As a result, Kimmel claimed that Trump's team had resorted to "desperate measures" to raise his profile, including sending supporters multiple text messages
pleading for donations and threatening donors that if they don't send cash, Trump will "know you've abandoned him."
“He knows you’ve abandoned him,” Kimmel joked, “he sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you abandon him after 13 text messages.”
