has spoken out about her weeks-long, near-fatal battle with COVID-19

In a new interview with Variety, the Mexican actress recalled being quarantined in her London
home for seven weeks after contracting the coronavirus
in the early days of the pandemic
Hayek, 54, was in need of oxygen but refused to be admitted to the hospital.
“My doctor begged me to go to the hospital because it was so bad,” she told the magazine, “but I said no, thank you. I'd rather die at home.”
Hayek returned to the set of Ridley Scott's "House
of Gucci" last month, which is about the murder of Italian fashion mogul Maurizio Gucci.
