's crushing loss to Italy
in the 2021 European Championships on Sunday night, Prince George
experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
The 7-year-old was accompanied to the game on Sunday by his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
, and began the game with glee
when England scored within the first few minutes.
A beaming George could be seen laughing and hugging both of his parents, while an ecstatic Prince William
pumped his fists and cheered.

George enjoys football
as much as his father
, Prince William, who is the president
of The Football Association and regularly supports Aston Villa.
He wore a sharp suit and tie to England's game against Germany
last month, and he made headlines for it.
According to former professional tennis
player Marion Bartoli, there was apparently some debate about what the young prince would wear to Sunday's match.
“I had afternoon tea with the duchess yesterday, and it was very much a discussion whether George will be allowed to wear the jersey tonight at Wembley or not,” Bartoli said on Radio 5 Live, according to Yahoo.
“William was in favor of it, but Kate wasn’t, so we’ll see,” she explained.
Because George did not wear the jersey for the occasion, royal fans
will have to keep an eye out to see if he wears it (or any other soccer gear) for his upcoming birthday portraits, as he did last year.
