In India, A Leopard Was Saved From A School Cafeteria.

Animal rescuers were called to a school in India to relocate a leopard that had wandered into the cafeteria following an apparent fight with a rival.

According to the rescue organization Wildlife SOS, personnel responded to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya school in Takali Dhokeshwar, Ahmednagar district, alongside the Maharashtra Forest Department, after maintenance staff discovered an adult male leopard in the building's cafeteria.

To keep the leopard in the cafeteria until rescuers arrived, workers closed the doors and windows from the outside.

The leopard was tranquilized and taken to the Wildlife SOS Leopard Rescue Center, where veterinarians determined it had recently been involved in a violent fight with a rival male leopard.

The leopard's wounds are being treated, and the animal will be rehabilitated and released back into the wild, according to Wildlife SOS.
