During a concert in Las Vegas
over the weekend, Miley Cyrus
continued support for Britney Spears
The “Wrecking Ball” singer delivered an electrifying July 4
performance to commemorate the grand opening of Resorts World Las Vegas, which included her 2009 hit “Party in the U.S.A.,” which famously mentions Spears.
Cyrus did not miss an opportunity to give a special shoutout to Spears, whose ongoing legal battle
has dominated headlines in recent weeks, with fan footage showing Cyrus repeatedly chanting "Free Britney!" during the song's chorus.

At another point during the performance, Cyrus delivered a more direct message: "We've got to free this bitch. It's stressing me out the fuck out!"

Spears sang background vocals on Cyrus' 2013 album, "Bangerz," on the track "SMS (Bangerz)." Since then, Cyrus has repeatedly expressed her admiration for Spears, including at a Super Bowl
event in February.
At the time, she told the audience, "We love Britney."
Since 2008, Spears has been living under a court-ordered conservatorship
, which gives her father and an estate attorney control over her life and finances.
According to court filings, Spears' longtime manager, Larry Rudolph
, resigned on Monday, citing his client's "intention to officially retire." Attorney Samuel Ingham, who has represented Spears since the conservatorship's inception, asked to step down a day later.
The conservatorship has come under increased scrutiny since Spears appeared in court on June 23 and told a Los Angeles judge
that she wanted the arrangement to end. In an explosive 20-minute statement, the Grammy
winner compared aspects of the conservatorship to "sex trafficking
" and claimed she was forced to have an IUD.
