The Daughter Of A Rock Icon Has Joined Team USA

Jessica Springsteen's career could take off!

The daughter of Bruce Springsteen and singer-songwriter Patti Scialfa has been chosen to compete in the Tokyo Olympics next month.

According to the United States Equestrian Federation, the 29-year-old will ride her horse, Belgian Warmblood stallion Don Juan van de Donkhoeve, as part of the United States Olympic equestrian jumping team.

Springsteen wrote on Instagram Tuesday, "I've been dreaming of this since I can remember."

“Endless gratitude to my team, friends, and family for making this a reality,” she said, adding that she was “honored to be a part of this team” and that there was “no horse in the world I’d rather be on this journey with.”

Springsteen, who is ranked 27th in the world, was an alternate rider for the London Olympics in 2012 and did not compete in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The U.S. jumping team includes Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut, and McLain Ward. The games begin July 23 and the jumping events take place from August 2 to 7.

In addition, "The Boss" will not be performing his "Springsteen on Broadway" show in New York from July 18 to August 16.
