Michael Cohen Explains Why He Believes Trump's '9 Lives' Have Expired

According to his former fixer and personal attorney Michael Cohen, things are not looking good for former President Donald Trump.

Cohen spoke with CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Thursday about the Manhattan district attorney's indictment of the Trump Organization and one of its top executives, including CFO Allen Weisselberg, for scheme conspiracy, grand larceny, criminal tax fraud, and falsifying business records.

Cohen, who assisted the investigation, stated that prosecutors had “a plethora of documents” that “tied Donald Trump to everything.”

“Everything went through Donald,” he added, “whether it was the acquisition of paperclips, light bulbs, furniture, mattresses, you name it. Allen Weisselberg’s children’s payments, rent, everything had a Donald Trump signature or initial on it.”

However, Camerota noted that Trump has repeatedly avoided accountability for previous allegations.

“What makes you think this time will be different?” she queried.

“Well, you know the expression, the cat has nine lives,” Cohen responded, “and I believe his nine lives have expired because the documentary evidence in the hands of the prosecutors is so significant and so spot-on that there's no way anyone can get out of it.”

“Once again, neither Allen Weisselberg nor [COO Matthew] Calamari, or anyone else, are the keystones here, because the documents speak for themselves, and there are more than enough people capable of testifying to what happened.”
