Florida Newspaper Rips GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis For Acting Like 'Tyrannical' Trump
The article leading body of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel attacked Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday for marking a questionable bill that limits casting a ballot rights.
In a protracted article, the paper blamed DeSantis — who just gave Fox News admittance to the marking service — of acting progressively "like his good example, the overbearing Donald Trump, who provoked media sources and carefully selected columnists who threw softball questions."
It was "another noteworthy look at life under the iron-fisted rule of DeSantis in Florida, where the entryways are closed tight to any individual who may scrutinize his insight or challenge his power" and the "most recent indication of DeSantis' tyrant grasp" on the express, the paper said.
"Like Trump, DeSantis continues to uncover his slight skin, and his obstinate assaults on the press are risky in a free society," the article added, calling the democratic law "harsh."
"Disgrace on Republicans for this law, which will just make it harder for legal votes to be checked and will sabotage public confidence in Florida decisions," it added.
