When "Daily Show" correspondent Jordan Klepper
confronted MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell
about his election conspiracy
theories at a recent "free speech
" rally, Lindell became irritated.
“This is the crime
of the century you're describing, and they came to the MyPillow guy,” Klepper exclaimed, setting the stage for a tense exchange between the two.
Lindell reiterated his claim that former President Donald Trump
would be re-elected in August, and when Klepper asked what would happen if Trump wasn't re-elected, Lindell rattled off a series of next steps involving individual states
“It’s like watching that Bigfoot
show,” Klepper explained. “They don’t find Bigfoot at the end, but if you tune in next week, maybe it will.”
Lindell grinned at that.
“Nice one,” he acknowledged.
Klepper responded, "Thank you."
Lindell stormed off after saying, "You guys are horrible."
Lindell was irritated by the segment even before it aired, revealing his side of the story in a podcast interview
It doesn't help his case.
The following is the complete "Daily Show" segment:
Lindell is being sued for libel in the amount of $1.3 billion by Dominion Voting Systems
for his debunked claims of voter fraud.
He was also banned from Twitter
for his conspiracy theories, prompting him to create his own platform, “Frank,” which is ostensibly dedicated to free speech, but Lindell has already stated that he will not allow speech that he does not agree with.
