Kim Kardashian Discusses Kanye West Today

Kim Kardashian has clarified her current relationship status with Kanye West.

During Thursday's episode of E!'s "The Final Curtain: Part 1," the KKW Beauty mogul opened up about her estranged husband, whom she is currently divorcing.

The episode is a sit-down special with Andy Cohen and the Kardashian-Jenner family to commemorate the end of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” after 20 seasons on the air, with the second half of the interview airing on Sunday.

Cohen inquired of Kardashian, "How is your relationship with [West] today?"

“We have an amazing co-parenting relationship, and I respect him so much,” the Skims founder responded diplomatically. “You know, that was my friend first, first and foremost for a long time, and I don’t see that changing. I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my children. He will always be family.”

When Cohen asked Kardashian, "Why did your marriage not work?" he was equally unsuccessful in extracting dirt from her.

“I honestly don’t think I would say it here on TV,” she said, “but it wasn’t like, one specific thing that happened on either part. I think it was just a general difference of opinion on a few things that led to this decision, and I would never want someone to think I didn’t give it my all or didn’t really try. We have four kids.”

One might assume it had something to do with Kanye's social media outbursts directed at certain members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, his move to Wyoming, or his failed presidential run — but Kardashian may be saving those details for the family's new Hulu content.

She previously admitted on the E! show that her relationship with West was "lonely" and that she felt like a "fucking failure" after their third divorce ended.

“My husband moves from state to state,” she explained to her mother, Kris Jenner, on the show's series finale. “I'm just on this ride with him and I was OK with that, but then after turning 40 this year, I realized, no, I don't want a husband who lives in a completely different state.”

“I used to think that [living apart] was when we got along the best, but that’s sad and not what I want; I want someone with whom I can watch the same [TV] shows and who wants to work out with me,” she continued.

Kardashian and West began dating in 2012 and married in Italy in 2014. They have four children together: North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.

He appears to have moved on with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk after months, if not years, of relationship rumors.

Kardashian and West, on the other hand, appear to be friendly, with the reality star wishing the rapper a happy birthday on social media last week.
