A High-Flying Taekwondo Troupe Kicks Butt On "America's Got Talent"

The World Taekwondo Demonstration Team declined an invitation to perform at the Tokyo Olympics due to COVID-19 concerns, but the troupe had no trouble conquering another big stage on Tuesday, “America’s Got Talent.” (See video below.)

The judges were blown away by a dazzling display of high-flying kicks and acrobatics, with Simon Cowell describing the act as "one of the most extraordinary things I've seen in all the years I've been on 'America's Got Talent.'"

Terry Crews, the show's host, was particularly impressed, joking that the martial artists' refusal to participate in the Olympics cost them a gold medal, but "I am going to give you something golden right now."

Crews pressed the Golden Buzzer, causing golden confetti to fall and the team to advance to the live rounds.
