Halle Berry Discusses Being Name-Dropped In Songs: "I'm 'Flattered,' But I'm Still Remembered"

Halle Berry is mentioned in so many songs that it's difficult to choose a favorite.

On Wednesday, the Oscar winner resurfaced a 2019 clip from her appearance on the popular YouTube series, "Hot Ones," in which she discussed being name-dropped in songs.

When asked if he had a favorite mention by host Sean Evans, who stated that Berry is "probably the most referenced actress in the history of hip-hop," Berry compared it to having children.

“I think of these references as my children in a way,” she joked, “there’s no way I could pick one, I love all these artists, I’m always flattered when any of them include me, and that they still remember me.”

“To pick one would be like picking my daughter or son — you know, I love them all,” Berry, mother of Nahla and Maceo, explained.

Berry tweeted on Wednesday that she is constantly asked that question, so her response from the “Hot Ones” episode should make it clear that she does not favor anyone.

Berry has been mentioned in a number of rap songs by artists such as Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye West, and OutKast, as Evans pointed out at the time.

In 2019, Berry was told by Jimmy Fallon, host of "The Tonight Show," that she had been mentioned in over 100 songs.

However, Berry's admiration extends beyond song lyrics.

Fallon also mentioned that the Los Angeles Rams had reportedly named a play after the "Catwoman" star.

Berry was aware of the play; in 2018, she replied to a tweet that included a clip from an NFL game in which Rams quarterback Jared Goff yelled, "Halle Berry!"

“Hold up. @JaredGoff16 @RamsNFL- What is a ‘Halle Berry’?,” she tweeted at the time.

“It’s my favorite play of all time,” he said.
