Senators from both parties wasted no time in applauding Quraishi's historic confirmation.

Quraishi has served as a magistrate judge for the same court since 2019, when he was appointed to the position.
He was previously a partner at Riker Danzig, where he chaired the firm's white collar criminal defense and investigations group and served as the firm's first chief diversity
officer; prior to that, he was an assistant US attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey.
