The Star's Gesture At Madison Square Garden Makes Him A "Knicks Villain For Life."

Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks went full Broadway against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Young took a theatrical bow after sinking a long 3-pointer late in the Hawks' 103-89 victory over the Knicks, which eliminated them from the NBA playoffs.

He took advantage of the situation, transforming himself into a "Knicks villain for life," as one Twitter user put it.

“There are a lot of shows around this city, and I know what they do after the show,” Young said after the game in an interview.

Young, who had 36 points in Game 5 and averaged 29.2 points and 9.8 assists in the series, had his curtain-closing move documented on TNT by one of the Garden's all-time rivals, Reggie Miller:

Young had already incurred the wrath of Knicks fans, who chanted "fuck Trae Young" earlier in the series, and one fan was barred from MSG indefinitely for spitting on the former Oklahoma Sooner.

Young became an out-of-town sensation with a single bow, commanding the large stage.
