Here's How Queen Elizabeth Will Mark Her 70th Year On The Throne Next Year.

LONDON (AP) — Britain will mark Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year on the throne with a four-day celebration beginning on June 2, 2022, with a ceremonial birthday parade.

Buckingham Palace released a schedule of public events and community activities to commemorate the 95-year-old monarch's Platinum Jubilee, which will be celebrated over a special four-day holiday weekend next year.

The festivities will begin with the first full staging of Trooping the Colour, the parade of more than 1,400 soldiers marking the queen's official birthday, since the COVID-19 pandemic.

To mark her 70th year on the throne, a service of thanksgiving will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral.

There will also be a live concert, billed as the "Platinum Party at the Palace," featuring some of the "world's biggest entertainment stars," though the government did not name them.

The queen's reign began on February 6, 1952, with the death of her father, King George VI, and ended on June 2, 1953, with her inauguration.
