After allegedly breaking into and then drunkenly passing out in a Milwaukee
Airbnb rented by three out-of-town cops, a 19-year-old awoke in handcuffs
Last week, deputies from Montana
's Flathead County discovered an unidentified teen sleeping in the property where they were staying while attending emergency vehicle training in the city.
“This stupid guy found the only Airbnb in all of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin
, loaded with cops,” deputy Charles Pesola said in a video of the alleged break-in that he posted on social media
Pesola initially mistook "some crashing around upstairs" at around 2:30 a.m. for one of his colleagues.
They discovered the alleged intruder sleeping hours later.
The teen was detained by the Milwaukee Police
Department after he claimed he had accidentally entered the wrong property.
According to local ABC
affiliate WISN, he was neither cited nor charged.
The teen, who had "no idea where he was," was fortunate, according to Pesola.
“What if that dude stumbled into a bed with a kid? Or my wife? I mean, it could have been a different morning,” he told WISN. “So wrong place, wrong time, lucky place, lucky time, that there are dudes that actually know how to handle that.”
