Pink Named Icon Award Recipient For 2021 Billboard Music Awards
Pink will get the pined for Icon Award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards later this month, making her the most youthful individual chose for the honor.
The vocalist will be the tenth individual to get the honor, with past honorees including Janet Jackson, Prince, Garth Brooks, Celine Dion and Stevie Wonder, Billboard noted.
Pink considered the acknowledgment a "genuine 'squeeze me' second," in a proclamation to the distribution, saying she felt "lowered and favored" to get the honor.
"As a young lady, I generally imagined about being an artist and offering my affection for music to the world," she said somewhere else in the explanation.
Pink is additionally booked to perform at the occasion, which will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on May 23 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Billboard Music Awards observes Icon Award beneficiaries as "extraordinary specialists who have accomplished greatness on the Billboard outlines and have made a permanent blemish on music itself."
The three-time Grammy victor's last three studio collections, "The Truth About Love," "Delightful Trauma" and "Damages 2B Human," have all entered the Billboard 200 outline at No. 1, Billboard detailed. Pink was named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2013.
Pink was joined by her better half, Carey Hart, and two kids, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon, when she got a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2019.
"There's a force in having confidence in yourself, there's a force in not abandoning life and not abandoning yourself," she said in her discourse at that point.
Pink delivered a tune with her 9-year-old girl, Willow Sage, named "Cover Me in Sunshine" in February.
